**Summary**
Blencowe Resources Plc has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Yunasko Ltd., a leading advanced technology firm specializing in energy storage and ultracapacitor technologies, for the offtake of natural medium flake graphite concentrate from its Orom-Cross Graphite Project in Uganda. The five-year agreement includes an initial supply of 500 tonnes per annum of purified medium flake graphite, with pricing to be finalized within 24 months. This MOU follows successful product qualification tests and coincides with the completion of Blencowes Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS). The graphite will be further upgraded by Blencowes U.S. partner, American Energy Technology Co. (AETC), to meet Yunaskos high standards for next-generation energy storage systems.
The Orom-Cross project is a world-class graphite deposit with a maiden resource of 24.5 million tonnes at 6.0% total graphite content, characterized by valuable larger flakes. Blencowe is advancing discussions with multiple OEMs and downstream users globally, anticipating additional MOUs as qualification tests progress. Executive Chairman Cameron Pearce highlighted the agreements significance in enhancing market credibility and increasing the weighted average selling price. Yunaskos Executive Chairman Yurii Maletin emphasized the high suitability of Orom-Cross graphite for advanced energy storage applications.
Yunasko, based in London and Kyiv, is a leader in high-power ultracapacitor and hybrid energy storage technologies, serving automotive, industrial, grid, and defense sectors. AETC, a key U.S. partner, specializes in manufacturing battery-ready graphite materials and is one of only three U.S. companies producing lithium-ion battery-ready graphite. This MOU marks a strategic step for Blencowe in securing high-value offtake agreements ahead of first production.
