SIG plc, a leading pan-European supplier of specialist building products, has released its half-year results for the six months ended June 30, 2024. The company reported a group revenue of ยฃ1,317 million, a 7% decrease compared to the previous year, with a like-for-like revenue decline of 6.8%. The underlying operating profit was ยฃ11.7 million, with an operating margin of 0.9%. Net debt post-IFRS 16 was ยฃ477 million, and pre-IFRS 16 net debt was ยฃ179 million. The companys outlook for FY 2024 remains in line with the recent update, expecting an underlying operating profit of ยฃ20-ยฃ30 million. SIG plcs CEO, Gavin Slark, commented on the challenging market conditions and the actions taken to reduce permanent costs, as well as the progress made in strategic initiatives.
